Great article. Same is true for other cranks as well.

Likely that differing cavities in the molds leave more excees plastic inside than others, glueing process could also decrease air volume in some more than others.
Really surprised you haven't cut some apart to see - You obsessive freak.

That's a interesting piece of a puzzle that I must admit I didn't even consider. I've always kept tabs on my wood crankbaits (as we all know that no two are alike). It doesn't surprise me about your great attention to detail. lol

How much information to give away? Well, I've been recently wrestling with this very same thought process. I've purchased a video camera, and planned on using it to make some short fishing video clips. Yesterday was my first attempt at a short clip. It was much more difficult to do than I ever expected (waves, timing, unexpected). Certainly do appreciate the quality of other video's out there now after attempting my first one. Needless to say, it came out o.k., with some valuable insight on Lake Erie fishing.

Going back to the original post about the crankbaits. This year will be my first year of making wooden crankbaits. I plan on designing, and painting several different kinds. Fishing with something different than everyone else has always appealed to me. Just as I'm sure it does with most anglers out there.

Good post Brian. I think I will share that tid bit of information with the folks over my way.
